Celebrate With A Kinder Pancake
Tuesday March 8th is Pancake Tuesday. Why not celebrate with a kinder pancake? Choose cage-free eggs to make your batter and show you care about the welfare of hens across Canada. Nearly all of Canada's eggs come from hens kept in battery cages, where each hen is forced to live in a space smaller than a sheet of notebook paper. But you can help make a difference every time you choose to buy cage-free eggs. There are cage-free alternatives available in most grocery stores across the country. Use WSPA's shopping guide. If your local grocery store doesn't carry cage-free eggs, ask them to! Email cagefree@wspa.ca to receive WSPA customer suggestion cards to send or leave at your grocery store.
Take the Pledge: be a compassionate eater
Join the many individuals, schools and businesses taking the cage-free pledge. Encourage your friends and family to join too. Imagine how many hens you can free from barren, battery cages by choosing cage-free eggs and convincing others to make the switch. Find out more and take the pledge.
